The Musical Project is part of the after school activities of the Franciscan School of Bukavo, Democratic Republic of Congo. The school welcomes children from 3 to 18 years old and Need You International partnered with the institute to create a free musical laboratory for all its students.

After years of great participation and success of the Musical Project, the program has to stall in 2025 due to the ongoing conflict inside the Democratic Republic of Congo that led the students of the school to forcibly leave their homes and flee to refugees camps in Burundi.
